We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team.
💰 Pay: $32–$45/hour
đź“Ť Full-Time | Permanent
What We Do:
Drocon Construction Group specializes in municipal, private utility, and site development work throughout Ontario. Our projects include:
• Watermain, sanitary & storm sewer installation
• Site stripping & grading
• Bulk earthmoving
• Road & parking lot construction
• Municipal & private development projects
Equipment You’ll Operate:
Primarily excavators, skid steers and loaders, with opportunities to operate dozers, backhoes and other heavy equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experienced heavy equipment operator
• Strong excavator skills are an asset
• Utility/pipe experience is an asset, but not required
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform daily equipment inspections
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work well with a crew
• Valid G Licence required
• Commercial driving experience is an asset, but not required
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and care for company equipment
• Perform daily inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Excavate, grade, load and move material efficiently
• Follow company and site safety procedures
• Communicate with supervisors and crew members to keep projects moving efficiently
