With Christmas just a few days away, you may be thinking now is the time to push that self-clean button on your oven so that it’s spick-and-span and ready for cooking. Here’s why that’s a very bad idea!

Self-clean cycles can be really hard on your oven. The oven temperature can reach 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and this can cause undue stress and wear on the internal components which can have the unintended consequence of causing the oven to fail.

We know that as much as we love to see you, sometimes you don’t want to see us.

Save yourself from added stress this holiday season and save the self-clean until the holidays are over.
