This project is a true labour of love. In the background we are compiling data on all residents of the District of Alberta in 1885.

Ultimately we will build an online platform to showcase the lives and stories of the people who
built the foundations of our province. Alberta 1885 is designed to be an engaging educational tool aimed at Albertan adults and teens to foster
understanding, a sense of belonging, and community pride regardless of
individual background.

We can't wait to launch this project!

Members of our team are examining the evidence of historical legal cases and discussing whether death sentences should have been commuted.

Canada has a complex history when it comes to capital punishment and of the 710 people executed by the State in a 100-year period, there's a disturbingly high number who may well have been innocent.

The podcast is in development and will be launching soon, more details to follow!
