Just a few photos of our crews either before or after their shifts! Even the “boss” has been out! We know he’d rather be working in the field than office anyway! Thank you to our incredible crew and working partners this year! You guys are truly inspirational in a very difficult, challenging and stressful season. The unfortunate part is, there is still a lot of summer left in these conditions. 💪❤️

We haven’t been able to keep up with our social media and our crews have been too busy to send us many pictures but here are a few of the past 3 weeks. It’s been long hrs, hot days and dirty work but humbling knowing we are giving it our all. 💪Most of the crew have been at the Brunswick Creek fire, Fraser Valley area. It seems like new evacuations keep popping up in BC. Keep ALL our Firefighting family from all organizations in your thoughts as we continue to do our best with such extreme fire behaviour. 🔥

Our crews have been putting in some very long hrs since Sunday. The Fraser Valley community needs some love and support. Thank you to our Crews for your hard work and dedication to help those, whose lives were impacted in a blink of an eye. Stay safe. Make good decisions. Everyone comes home. 💪🔥

We have twin birthdays today at Rider Ventures! First, Happy Birthday Todd, our equipment operator! Todd has been with us for a few yrs now on and off and we appreciate what he does for us! Second, Happy birthday Keaton who is new to our team this year! He just started with us after finishing his schooling for the season so we didn’t have a good working photo yet! Happy birthday Gentlemen, hope you have a great day! 🎂🎉

Crew heading to Boston Bar! Strong winds and warm days coming. Makes for long days and hard work for the crew. Please keep them in your thoughts.

Our crews continue to assist the Boston Bar Fire Department in response to the Brunswick Creek wildfire (V10742) in the vicinity of Chaumox Road, north of North Bend. The fire is currently estimated at 100 hectares in size. It is suspected to be human caused.

The fire is burning at rank 3-4 (highly vigorous surface fire with torching or passive crown fire). Multiple aviation resources, initial attack and unit crews, as well as heavy equipment are responding. Crews and aviation resources are also responding to spot fires in the area, located north of the Brunswick Creek wildfire.

Smoke from the Brunswick Creek wildfire is highly visible along Highway 1, as well as in Kamloops and Merritt. No impacts to Highway 1 or the railway are expected.

This wildfire is classified as Out of Control and growth has been primarily upslope, away from infrastructure and community. The Fraser Valley Regional District has issued alerts and orders for the North Bend community and adjacent properties on the west side of the Fraser River.
