My name is Sandy Hug & I live in the Coldstream Valley just outside of Vernon BC. I refinish old and unloved furniture pieces to make them beautiful again. I am a Graphic Artist by trade & previous to that worked for a very well known photographer as a retouch artist. I then worked at a large corporate office for 7.5 yrs and although the company was terrific I was missing passion. I discovered that people were tossing away very good quality pieces of furniture into the land fills, and thought that there must be a better use for this so called JUNK. I painted my first piece of furniture and found that a ton of stress leave my body, so I just kept painting. I decided it was time to follow my heart/passion for art, resigned from the office, and started my home based business REFINISHING FURNITURE.
If a piece of furniture is built strong and of good quality, but has damage or doesn’t fit with the modern decor...I will fix, paint it, sand it, stain it, and create a masterpiece that will look beautiful in a modern home. I create anything from shabby Chic, Country/Farm style, to modern decor pieces.
I take pride in purchasing quality items to refinish and will do my very best to only put out quality workmanship.
