A DIFFERENT KIND OF FINANCING FOR HOME ENERGY RETROFITS

Alberta households spend thousands a year on home energy costs, and it’s not all necessary. Leaky windows, a poorly insulated attic, an inefficient gas furnace—these could be sucking dollars right out of your pocket.

Start saving money by upgrading your home’s energy efficiency.

Your local Clean Energy Improvement Program:

$450 Incentive: A $450 upgrade incentive is available for completed projects plus an additional incentive of 2% of eligible costs is offered for all completed projects on homes built before the year 2000. Hurry! The incentive is offered on a first-come, first served basis.

2% interest rate: The competitive interest rate provided for eligible projects is a fixed 2%, for up to a 20-year term.

Pincher Creeker! The CEIP program is coming Spring, 2024. Residential property owners in the Municipal District or Town of Pincher can finance up to 100% of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, including windows, furnaces, solar, water heating, insulation, and more. Finance through your property taxes at a fixed rate of 2%.

The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) is an innovative financing tool for property owners in Alberta. Access below-market rates and make repayment convenient through your property’s regular tax bill.

The Greener Homes Grant is no longer accepting applications, HOWEVER, the Greener Homes Loan continues! Up to $40,000 interest free, for 10 years. Windows, solar, insulation, heat pumps and more qualify.

The Canada Greener Homes Grant is no longer accepting new applicants. Homeowners who are already participating are encouraged to proceed in a timely manner with their retrofits and will continue to be eligible for funding and support through the Canada Greener Homes portal.
