Pretty excited to finally share Deerwood Country Access! 🎉

I built this WordPress plugin to make country blocking and website protection simpler, while taking advantage of the power of Cloudflare. It includes intelligent rate limiting, repeat-offender detection, trusted IPs, search engine protection, and the ability to stop unwanted traffic at Cloudflare before it ever reaches WordPress.

This has been a really fun project to build, and I’m pretty damn happy with how it turned out. 😎

There are moments that a camera can capture, but there are also moments that a camera can make you feel.

For me, photography and videography have never been about simply taking beautiful images. They've always been about chasing a feeling. The quiet before sunrise. The power of crashing waves. The thunder of waterfalls. The stillness of an alpine lake. The way light filters through the trees, or the feeling of standing on the edge of a cliff, completely humbled by the world around you.

Every time I head out with my camera, I come home with more than photos. I come home with memories, gratitude, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible place I get to call home.

This collection is a tribute to the places that have inspired me over the years. From the shores of Comox and Victoria, to the rugged beauty of Open Bay, Upper Campbell Lake, China Creek Falls, the Royston Wrecks, and the countless waterfalls, forests, mountains, and hidden corners that make Vancouver Island unlike anywhere else. Every location has left its mark on me and reminded me just how fortunate we are to live here.

I truly love what I do. Not because of the cameras or the drones, but because they allow me to share the emotions I feel when I'm standing in these places. Whether I'm watching the first light break over the ocean, standing beside a roaring waterfall, or flying above a coastline few people ever get to see, I'm reminded why I fell in love with this craft in the first place.

If even one image or one clip makes someone stop for a moment, take a breath, and appreciate the beauty around them, then I've done exactly what I set out to do.

This is more than a highlight reel.

It's a love letter to Vancouver Island, to the wild places that inspire me, and to a passion that continues to grow every time I press the shutter.

Really happy to have helped launch the brand-new website for Crabby's Fishing Charters

Captain Shane Evans has spent decades chasing fish around the waters between the Comox Valley and Campbell River, and his charter offers salmon and bottom-fishing trips across the Northern Salish Sea from Desolation Sound to Lund and Powell River.

I had a great time building this one, especially incorporating drone footage to highlight those secluded fishing grounds, calm waters and rich sea life you’ll find out here.
