For all French Immersion and CSF parents who would like to learn more French, in order to support your children in their French learning, we have classes for you!!
The classes start next week, and will be held at the Glacier View School, from 7:00-8:15pm each evening for 7 weeks. Classes are taught by French Immersion teacher Paige Sutton, and will be a fun, no-stress way to improve your French skills with other parents!
Beginner Classes – for parents who feel that they really need to start from scratch in learning French.
Novice/Intermediate Classes – for parents who know a bit of French, or who took the Beginner class last fall, and want to keep building and practicing their French skills.
Tuesdays – April 17-May 29, 2018 - Beginner Class
Thursdays – April 19-May 31, 2018 - Novice/Intermediate Class
Cost: $70 per person/7 sessions (payable by cash or cheque at the first session)

Garage sale on Saturday April 14th from 9am to 1pm in the gym at the French School!
There will be a French Story Teller in the library from 10 am to noon, Face Painting, Climbing Wall, Lemonade, Hot-Dogs and more fun!
You are welcomed to rent your display table for $15 (cash or cheque payable to APÉ). Please register soonest to Vanessa at [email protected].
Donations: Only gently used objects will be accepted on Friday, April 13th from 2pm at the community office at the entrance of the school.
Funds raised will be donated to the parents' comitte to fund extracurricular activities and outings such as gymnastics, museum visits, etc...

Atelier sur l'éducation positive le 19 avril de 18h30 à 20h au bâtiment Spinaker de la Marina de Comox

Positive Education Workshop in French on April 19th from 6.30 pm to 8pm at the Spinaker Building at the Comox Marina

Inspired from the Faber and Mazlish method and their book "How to talk to kids so they will listen & listen so kids will talk" this workshop will focus on 2 main themes:
1) Listen to your child and welcome their feelings and emotions;
2) To foster cooperation
Then we will practice the method together with role plays.

Participation to the workshop $ 5 per person.
The feminine basketball team will offer a babysitting service in the opposite room: $ 10 for the 1st child and $ 5 for each additional child in the same family. Minimum age 2 ½ years (toilet trained).

We would like to know about your experience of being cared for by your health provider(s) during pregnancy and up to one year after birth.
