The OCP update public walkabouts were very well received. There are still virtual sessions to come in the next week or so, but you have to sign up.

Between October 26 and November 10 a number of in-person small group walkshops and virtual workshops will be occuring throughout Courtenay. Heading out to do an OCP related walk-about of the Hospital Precinct and its surrounds. Should be an intersting "walk-about" as this has got to be one of the most un-walkable neighbourhoods in all of Courtenay. I supsect that nobody coming on the walk will have walked any of these streets ever before. Gonna wear my safety vest for sure!!!

High BC Step Code 4 - getting close to net zero even with a super modern glass house. Super insulated R-37.7 foundation walls are part of the strategy. It was enlightening to work with our energy advisor to see where we got the best value in terms of cost, constructability, and energy performance. This is what the Building Code people envisioned would happen. I hope that everyone is doing this!
