Honoured to have spoken at the National Forum on Fraud and Corruption 2026, hosted by the Instituto Mexicano de Auditoría Interna .

I presented on Trauma-Informed Enforcement as a Corruption Strategy, contributing to important discussions alongside local and international experts in fraud and anti-corruption. The focus on how trauma-informed approaches can strengthen enforcement, compliance, and governance frameworks made for a particularly meaningful exchange of ideas.

I also shared reflections from earlier professional experiences as a lone compliance practitioner, and how those lessons can inform more effective, responsive, and human-centred approaches to anti-corruption work.

Fue un honor haber participado como ponente en el Foro Nacional sobre Fraude y Corrupción 2026, organizado por el Instituto Mexicano de Auditoría Interna.

Presenté sobre la aplicación de la perspectiva informada por el trauma como estrategia en la lucha contra la corrupción, contribuyendo a conversaciones importantes junto a expertos locales e internacionales en fraude y anticorrupción. El enfoque en cómo las estrategias informadas por el trauma pueden fortalecer los marcos de cumplimiento, gobernanza y aplicación de la ley permitió un intercambio de ideas especialmente significativo.

También compartí reflexiones basadas en experiencias profesionales previas como única responsable de cumplimiento, y cómo esas lecciones pueden informar enfoques más eficaces, receptivos y centrados en las personas dentro del trabajo anticorrupción.

Honoured to have spoken at the CPA Ontario Corporate Finance and Controllers Conference 2026 earlier this year.

I had the opportunity to present on Robust Internal Control Programs, focusing on evolving strategies in fraud risk management and how organizations can strengthen detection, prevention, and response frameworks in an increasingly complex financial environment.

Proud to have had the opportunity to speak at the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Fraud Conference Canada in Toronto last November.

I presented Session 10A: Navigating the Minefield: Asset Tracing and Recovery When Evidence Goes Wrong, focusing on the real-world complexities of tracing and recovering assets when financial evidence is incomplete, compromised, or misleading.

The conference brought together leading anti-fraud professionals from across Canada and beyond, all committed to strengthening investigative practices and advancing the tools used in fraud prevention, detection, and recovery.
