🌱 Helping Sudbury Grow Green
Our annual aerial seeding program is underway, supporting ongoing land restoration efforts around our operations in Sudbury.
From October 6 to 16, helicopters will be working across approximately 175 hectares, applying a carefully selected mix of agricultural limestone, grass seed and fertilizer to help improve soil conditions and encourage new vegetation growth.
Flight routes are being planned to minimize disruption to nearby communities while helping restore areas that require ecological rehabilitation.
This work is part of our long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship. Since the program began in 1990, more than 4,500 hectares of land have been seeded aerially.
We are also proud to support the City of Greater Sudbury's regreening efforts, one of the world's most successful land reclamation initiatives. Together, these efforts have contributed to the planting of more than 10 million trees and the restoration of thousands of hectares of land across the Sudbury Basin.
