Another job completed by the Evergreen Excavation team! 💪

This project included a new driveway extension and drainage improvements around the foundation.

Our client was dealing with water running directly toward and entering their shed whenever it rained. We corrected the drainage issue by installing a properly graded trench with weeping tile and drainage stone, wrapped in geotextile fabric to help prevent the stone from becoming clogged with soil and keep the drainage system functioning properly for years to come.

The new driveway extension was also installed over geotextile fabric and thoroughly compacted to create a strong, solid base built to last.

💧 French Drain & Pathway Upgrade 🚜

The customer was dealing with heavy runoff from the bank behind their home, causing water buildup, and needed a safe path around the house for year-round access.

What we did:
Tight access area was excavated and graded using a small mini excavator.
• Removed and hauled away excess rock and material
• Installed a PVC French drain with filter fabric and drainage stone, tied into the existing rain gutter for proper water management
• Regraded the yard away from the house and formed a swale to direct water flow
• Built a smooth, hazard-free access pathway

Now the property has proper drainage and a clean, usable space.

We handled the groundwork — the customer has since added more stone to finish the pathway. Hoping to share updated photos this spring.

Doing it right the first time — no water problems later.

✔️ Excavated for a brand new window well✔️ Installed French drain (weeping tile) directly from the well✔️ Ran solid drainage pipe under a brick wall to the front yard✔️ Directed water into a drainage pit for proper flow 🌊

Built it to last:🪨 Washed drainage stone🧱 Felt wrap to keep out fines🚜 Backfilled, added topsoil & reseeded lawn

Clean install. Proper drainage. No chance for water buildup 👍

💧 Foundation crack repair from last season 💧

Excavated, opened it up, chiseled, cleaned, and sealed the crack with hydraulic cement, the next day we applied primer and waterproof membrane 🛠️

Went an extra step and added Delta dimple board to relieve hydrostatic pressure and protect the wall long-term ✔️

Weeping tile was partially plugged, so we drilled relief holes to get proper drainage flowing again 🌊

Finished with drainage stone, backfilled, proper grading, and a clean crushed stone finish — no more swampy mess, just a dry, usable space 👍
