It's WINNER WEDNESDAY again folks!! 💫🌟✨

This week’s Speedy Star of the Week takes us to Stephenville, and we’re celebrating a guy who apparently has a very difficult time saying no when someone needs a hand. ❤️

Meet George Lucas.

And yes… we know what you’re thinking. 🌌😂
But THIS George’s superpower isn’t the Force — it’s simply being a really good human.

George was nominated by someone who wanted us to know about all the little things he does that probably don’t feel like a big deal to him…but mean a whole lot to the people on the receiving end. Like the endless meals of trout....and offering to bring in winter wood....and so many little things that he doesn't realize are actually NOT that little.

Need a ride after dropping your vehicle off?
“Yes, sure. What time?”

Need a ride somewhere within Kippens? George will come from Stephenville to get you.

Need your walkway shoveled? You might not even get the chance to ask. George has been known to arrive for a visit and, before even coming inside, shovel the walkway and driveway AND clean the snow off the vehicle. 😂

No announcement. No fuss. No hesitation.

And THAT is what stood out most in his nomination. ❤️

George genuinely seems happy to help.

Friend or stranger, big job or little favour, he’s the kind of person you can call and know he’ll do whatever he can — and if he says he’ll be there, he’ll be there.

Sometimes being a Speedy Star isn’t about one huge act of kindness.

Sometimes it’s about being the person who consistently says:

“Yep. Sure. What time?”

Alright, Pasadena…we're officially in the BAG IT UP AND BRING IT BACK stage of Red Bag Days! 🥫❤️

First, a HUGE shoutout to the incredible students at Pasadena Academy who have been helping us with this year's campaign! 👏👏

These kids have been FANTASTIC!

There's just one tiny logistical issue…

MOST OF THEM CAN'T DRIVE. 🚗😂

And while we appreciate their enthusiasm, we're pretty sure sending Grade 7 students cruising around Pasadena collecting groceries would raise a few eyebrows. 🥴

So, village…let's pitch in where we can, shall we? ❤️
