🔐 Cybersecurity Tip from eXcerta 🔐

Your business is only as secure as your weakest password.

➡️ Don’t use the same password across multiple accounts.
➡️ Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) wherever possible.
➡️ Update devices and software regularly—those security patches matter.
➡️ Watch for phishing emails pretending to be vendors, clients, or even your own staff.

Cyber threats don’t take days off—and neither do we when it comes to protecting your business.

👉 If you're unsure about your current setup, let us take a look.
Contact eXcerta today for a quick security audit or consultation.

Your peace of mind is our business.

🚨 Major Outage Alert 🚨

On Friday, a global computer outage affecting airports, banks, and various businesses was linked to a software update from U.S. cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike. The issue stems from a defect in a single content update of CrowdStrike's Falcon software on Microsoft Windows operating systems. Fortunately, it does not impact Mac or Linux systems.

CrowdStrike, known for detecting and blocking hacking threats, quickly addressed the problem. CEO George Kurtz confirmed that the issue was not a result of a security incident or cyberattack. The company's engineers have deployed a fix and advised customers to reboot their computers if they encounter technical issues.

CrowdStrike is renowned for its work with Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. government. They played a significant role in tracking the Russian hack of the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 U.S. election.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Heads up, everyone! Contrary to a local professional's radio ad, using a VPN, while excellent for privacy (encrypting your internet connection and masking your IP address), doesn't safeguard you against compromised websites or risky emails. For those, you really need reliable antivirus software and a sharp eye. Stay safe and surf smart!
