Clever had an amazing weekend at the Lady Slipper CKC Show! ❤️

In Rally Obedience, she nailed all 8 of her courses, earning some impressive scores ( and times, lol Anthony!) She also achieved her Master Title, earned a High in Class, and picked up 3 legs toward her RMX.

A huge thank you to my travel partner and coach, Saundra Clow for being such a great sport all weekend. We shared so many laughs, plenty of good-natured bantering with friends/ fellow competitors, and truly had a wonderful time.

I’m so proud of Clever. She always gives me her all and never stops amazing me. ❤️🐾

I could not be more proud as a coach and a friend to these 3 lovely ladies! FTLOD! was represented at this year's AAC Regionals by 3 of our students: Carol Walker, Sherry Flynn and Sylvie Thibodeau - and not only did they do amazing, they were a team - cheering each other on, being there for the highs and lows, confiding in each other and celebrating the small and huge victories.
I told them all before they left on Friday - there is only one way you will disappoint me - and that is if you are not kind to your dog - otherwise, no matter your finish - there was no way I was going to be anything less than proud as heck! Needless to say - they make me SO proud!
Congratulations to these three and to all of the participants of this year's AAC NB/PE Regionals!

Last 20 hours to get tickets for a wonderful cause. Win a brand new Galican tunnel and support a family going through a very scary and uncharted time in their young lives:
Hey agility peeps!
We’re coming together as a community to run a fundraiser raffle 💛
We’re raising funds for one of our beloved former students and instructors, Brittany Michelle, and her family. Brittany and Ross’ son, Emerson, has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Craniosynostosis—where the skull sutures fuse too early. This means multiple trips off-Island to the IWK in Nova Scotia for consults and important surgeries in the months ahead.
To help support them, we’re raffling off a brand new Galican 4M Tunnel—and yes… it’s as awesome as it sounds 😉
Every dollar raised will go directly to Brittany, Ross, and Emerson to help ease the financial strain of travel, time away from work, and medical expenses. If we can lighten that load even a little, it means they can focus more fully on what matters most—getting Emerson well.

Agility isn’t just a sport—it’s a community. It’s family.
This is our chance to come together, support one of our own, and maybe even win a little something in the process 💛

What a weekend! I had such a great time here at For the Love of Dog! during our annual May long weekend AAC agility trial. Judge Christine Mandy definitely did not disappoint with super fast, fun classes.

In total, there were over 100 Qs handed out and 25 title ribbons — WOWZA!

Judge Christine was also a lovely house guest! She took part in a lobster supper and even tried mussels for the first time. Fred was busy in the kitchen as usual, creating menus even Gordon Ramsay would raise his eyebrows at 😉

My students were amazing. You all make me so proud, and I’m truly overwhelmed by your confidence and enthusiasm. The best part about being a coach is watching students have fun while reaching their individual goals

A massive thank you to our scorekeeper, Sherry Flynn. She kept her cool, stayed incredibly organized, and somehow even ran two dogs in between. Is there anything this woman can’t do?

Thank you as well to Joanne Gallein for coming out to volunteer, even while Jack was riding the pine. I truly appreciated it.

There were so many helpers and people pitching in all weekend long. I won’t name everyone for fear of forgetting someone, but please know how grateful I am for every single one of you.

A huge thank you as well to Hunter with Wagworthy Treats (Rugged Greens). What a hit those amazing dehydrated treats were! Beef liver, island cheese, wild blueberries, quail eggs, mussels, scallops, capelin, yam and so much more. Competitors — and their dogs — absolutely loved trying your products. All ingredients are island sourced and processed right here on PEI. We’re so excited to continue working with Wagworthy Treats and Rugged Greens at future events.

Scorch, Clever and Siren all ran this weekend. Siren was her goofy self and had an absolute blast. Clever rounded out her MSDC title, earned an Advanced Standard Q (those are HARD), and added a few more clean runs to the books.

And then there was Scorch, my heart. My 12-year-old boy ran his retirement runs this weekend. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear or two out there. I even took a jump for him 😉 Thank you for all the best runs, Scorchie. I love you so much.

Thank you to all the competitors for coming and being part of the unique FTLOD! experience. We can’t wait to see you all again at Halloween!

I simply have the best students. Thank you to everyone who came out today to help with Spring Cleanup. The arena looks fabulous! I am so fortunate to have such a great group that always lend a hand and are more than willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. Less than 2 hours, and it looks marvellous darlings!

As a coach, Grace is known for her systematic approach, incredible attention to detail, and ability to break skills down so both dog and handler truly understand the work before building it into bigger sequences.

For this seminar, we will be focusing on Grace’s courses, running style, and how she sees and handles challenges on the national circuit. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a feel for Grace’s vibe before the Canadian Open!
