The Warehouse Has Lost the Plot

It’s been a couple of weeks since our last sale, and in that time we’ve somehow managed to unload **THREE MORE LARGE ESTATES** into the office.
.. And the moving truck is **STILL FULL.**

At this point, we’re not entirely sure if we’re running an estate liquidation company or conducting a long-term experiment to determine exactly how much stuff can physically fit inside one warehouse. Honestly the parking lot will be full too..

Setup is DONE... and the North Island Estate Liquidation warehouse has officially reached maximum capacity.

Seriously. We have never packed this much into the building.

Furniture. Antiques. Collectibles. Artwork. Tools. Curiosities. Useful things. Completely unnecessary things you'll somehow convince yourself you need. And yes... approximately 97 clocks. We're only slightly exaggerating.

The trucks barely cooled off before we filled them again.

Tick... tock... it's time.

This Saturday, North Island Estate Liquidation is opening the doors on one of the most incredible horological estates we've ever handled. Collected over a lifetime by a local horologist, this is a collection that quite literally spans centuries.

We're talking cuckoo clocks, mantel clocks, slate clocks, anniversary clocks, carriage clocks, grandfather clocks, ships clocks, lantern clocks... and a whole pile of clocks that are so old and unusual we're still arguing about what they're called. Some date back to the 1700s.

If you've ever thought, "You know what this house needs? A 250-year-old clock," this is your moment.

Feel like buying something you absolutely did not know you needed this weekend?

Good news: we're opening the doors (briefly)

Originally, we were only planning to be here so a few people could pick up furniture. Then we looked around at the mountains of antiques, collectibles, mystery boxes, and general estate-sale chaos and thought:

"Eh. Let's let the public in. What's the worst that could happen?"

A worthy message from our Elder Moving division!

We've handled enough collections to start one of our own... 😄

If you've been following us lately, you might think we've become experts in Medalta stoneware, cast iron frying pans, cameras, sewing supplies, fishing gear, and the mysterious drawer full of rubber bands that somehow exists in every house.

Well... you're not entirely wrong.

Over the last couple of years, we've been sharing a lot more about North Island Estate Liquidation, because helping families through estate sales and home clear-outs has become a huge part of what we do.

But here's something we wanted to remind everyone...

Elder Moving is still going strong.

In fact, senior moving is what started it all.

Every week we're helping seniors and their families sort through decades of memories, downsize with confidence, pack with care, move into their next home, unpack, and get comfortably settled. We continue to serve families throughout the Comox Valley, Campbell River, Parksville, Nanoose Bay, Qualicum Beach, and beyond.

The truth is, the two businesses fit together naturally.

Sometimes a move is just a move.

Sometimes it also means preparing a longtime family home for sale, organizing an estate, or finding new homes for a lifetime of belongings. That's exactly why North Island Estate Liquidation was born.

So while our social media has featured a few more estate sales (and yes, an impressive collection of cameras), behind the scenes we're still supporting seniors every week.
