🧸 HELP US COLLECT 200 STUFFIES! 🧸

Puntledge RV Campground is proud to support the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Stuffed Animal Program for young patients at Comox Valley Hospital.

Ramona Johnson is leading a stuffed toy drive, and we’re thrilled that the Campground is able to serve as a community drop-off location!

Stuffed animals are used throughout the hospital to comfort children receiving medical care. These cuddly companions can help reduce stress, provide distraction and bring a little joy during a difficult moment.

How you can help:

🧸 Donate a new stuffed animal
🏷️ Please leave the original tags attached
📏 Small to medium-sized stuffies are best
📍 Drop off at reception at Puntledge RV Park & Campground, 4624 Condensory Road, Courtenay

Our goal is to collect 200 stuffies—and we would love your help reaching it!

Proud to share that our CEO, Mark Brajer, will be joining the Blue Economy Roundtable at this year's Chamber Summer BBQ! 🌊

With over 30 years of leadership in Indigenous economic development, Mark will be bringing KEDC's perspective on Indigenous-led growth in natural resources and coastal industries — from agriculture to aquaculture — and how we're building sustainable, community-driven business across the Comox Valley.

Come hear the conversation and stick around for an evening of local food, oyster shucking, live music, lawn games, apiary tours, and more at Smith Lake Farm on September 3.

This one sells out every year — grab your tickets now at comoxvalleychamber.com/events

Speaker Spotlight: Mark Brajer, Chief Executive Officer of the K'ómoks Economic Development Corporation 🌊

Mark stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer of the K'ómoks Economic Development Corporation (KEDC), the business and economic development arm of the K'ómoks First Nation, in January 2026.

Mark brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in Indigenous economic development, business transformation, and large-scale operations, having previously served as CEO of the Tsartlip Group of Companies in Brentwood Bay, BC, and the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation in Yellowknife, NT.

He has also held senior leadership roles at organizations including Unilever, Epicure, and Alberto Culver. Known for his collaborative approach and commitment to transparency, Mark works closely with Chief & Council, the KEDC Board, and community members to advance economic development that reflects K'ómoks values, with priorities spanning strategic partnerships, treaty-related land development, and diversifying KEDC's business portfolio.

At the Blue Economy Roundtable Mark will bring KEDC's perspective on Indigenous-led economic development in natural resources and coastal industries, sharing how KEDC is building sustainable, community-driven growth across its business units, including agriculture, aquaculture, and natural resources 🌿

Join us at Smith Lake Farm September 3 for an evening of delicious local food and drinks, oyster shucking, live music, lawn games, apiary tours, disc golf, glamping, and more, while celebrating the best of the Comox Valley.
