Great evening at tonight’s Mix & Mingle hosted by Louis Bazinet, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones and brought together by the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce.

It was such a pleasure to connect with fellow Chamber members, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet new ones in a welcoming and relaxed setting. Louis’ new space is fantastic, and the appetizers and refreshments made it an enjoyable after-hours gathering.

A big thank you to Louis and Shelby for hosting, and to the Chamber team for creating opportunities like this to strengthen our local business community.

Already looking forward to the next one!

Joel joined Mark Frentz on the Business Growth Podcast to talk about what AI disruption actually means for construction businesses — the entry-level job problem, why technology without people and process fails, and what leaders need to have in place before the window closes.

The Redline team headed out to Unsworth Vineyards for a brand photoshoot with Hip Photography and it turns out getting your photo taken in a vineyard on a sunny day is not a bad way to spend a morning.

Behind every polished headshot is a lot of laughing, a few awkward poses, and someone reminding everyone to relax their shoulders.

More to come soon. We're pretty excited about what Chad captured.

Proud to support the DCCC and the Cowichan business community. The chamber wouldn't run without their amazing volunteers, grateful for every Director who gives their time to it.

During volunteer week, we’re recognizing the people who help guide the Chamber behind the scenes. Our Board of Directors volunteers their time to provide leadership, direction, and accountability-ensuring we continue to represent business in Cowichan. Thank you for your leadership and commitment!

BC's construction industry is 265,000+ workers strong. Behind every structure in this province is a person who built it.

For the 9th consecutive year, April is Construction and Skilled Trades Month, a moment to celebrate the builders, tradespeople, contractors, and everyone in between who keep this province running and built right.

This month, the whole Redline team is heading to our Vancouver Island headquarters. We'll be checking out some ongoing project sites and finishing the month with a celebratory lunch together. It's our way of marking what this industry and the people in it mean to us.

If you want to celebrate your crews this April, here's what British Columbia Construction Association has put together for crews:

- Host a Lunchbox Celebration - treat your crews to a worksite lunch. Download and display an official Construction Month poster at your site while you're at it.

- Limited edition merch - official Construction Month 2026 shirts are available. Limited supply — deck your crews out.

- $500 grant available — BCCA network members (NRCA, SICA, VICA, or VRCA) can apply for up to $500 toward their Lunchbox Celebration.

Happy Construction Month, BC.

Last Saturday, Joel and Juanita attended the District Hospital Foundation's 35th Annual Champagne Dinner & Auction at Brentwood College.

With 350 guests showing up for the people who show up for them. This year's gala marked a huge milestone worth celebrating: $5 million raised for health care in the Cowichan Valley with an additional $5 million match from Jim Pattison with a massive $10 million raised.

Congratulations to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation on 40 years of impact. And thank you to EllisDon for presenting a fantastic evening.
