In case you weren't at Trails to see this unfold, we want to take a minute to highlight another BIG moment at Trails this year!
Recently, two members of our hound family and long time members of our club experienced some sudden and major health setbacks requiring a lengthy time in hospital recovering.
Getting a group of our membership, houndsmen and women together provided a great opportunity to try to raise some funds for these two to help with medical costs and setbacks during this time.
With a live auction on a training collar donated by our friends over at the Alberta Treehound Association
+ A donation bucket being passed around the crowd, we're excited to share, that combined, $5000 was raised in just a short while that Saturday afternoon!
The EKTHA has gone ahead and matched the money raised by everyone that afternoon, which means there is a combined total raised of $5000 for each of these two members of our community!!
A HUGE thank you goes out to each and every person, club, business and family that donated!!!
It was very profound and heartwarming to witness the generosity and support of our hound community/family!! THANK YOU!!
