Why as Momma’s do we so often shy away from the truth. Why are we so afraid to answer the “How are you doing?” with honesty? Like admiring we’re not ok makes us a bad mom. Just a reminder sweet mama, admitting you aren’t ok doesn’t make you a bad mom, it means you’re a smart one. We challenge you, the next time someone asks this question, be honest.

The other day my husband came home from work, asked when dinner was and hopped in the shower. I love my husband but in that particular moment I wanted to punch him in the face. Or make his water cold 🙈 I don’t even remember the last time I took a shower without the stress that the baby would wake up, or I’d loose milk from the water being too hot. Somehow all of a sudden taking a shower became an accomplishment and actually taking a shower long enough to wash my hair became worthy of a gold medal. Mama’s it’s ok to be jealous of your husbands freedom. But one thing I learned was my husband had no idea the silent weight that is on me, because I don’t talk about it. It’s a silent responsibility that lays solely on us moma’s. I encourage you to sit your hubby down and share with him the things that weigh on you, the things you need some time to do. After sharing with my husband the frustration to just shower, he asks me when he gets home if I got to shower, and if I didn’t he makes sure to give me the time to do it, without worrying about what the baby needs. Sometimes our hubby’s just need a reality check of what mama life is like.
