Wireless Technician & Installer
Great Northern Wireless, based in Deer Lake, is looking for a professional, technically capable, confident, and energetic Wireless Technician and Installer who is responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications services in Western Newfoundland. As an installer for Great Northern Wireless, your main responsibilities will be to assist/complete installation and service orders for commercial and residential wireless internet for our large customer base throughout Western Newfoundland.
Tasks may include: install new wireless services, install wireless internet to the home, service and trouble-shoot wireless related issues, climb and work on wireless towers, handle customer complaints, questions and develop solutions, complete work/service orders within the allotted time frames according to quality standards. You will be responsible for enhancing our customers’ experience in a positive manner.

Duties:
· Set up point to point connections for remote locations, and perform new internet installations and connections for customers.
· Monitor solar and A/C tower sites for possible issues
· Diagnose errors or technical issues that arise and determine proper solutions, ensure networks are running smoothly.
· Troubleshoot and restore systems after crashes.
· Install, build, repair, and upgrade towers and tower equipment
· Provide technical support and troubleshoot for existing customers
· Diagnose, assess, and repair customer’s services
· Build and foster positive customer relationships
· Work safely in accordance with all policies and procedures
· Other duties as required

Qualifications:
· Previous experience in telecommunications & installations an asset
· Excellent communication skills required; excellent problem-solving skills required
· · Education and/or Experience, High school diploma or GED; college courses in technology a definite benefit or equivalent combination of education and related experience
· Fall arrest Certification is an asset
· Must be comfortable working outdoors year round
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs, be comfortable working at heights and in small spaces
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Must be bondable
· Criminal background clearance required.
