CMRI Recycled Materials by Donation

At Canadian Mattress Recycling, we love supporting local communities. We’re constantly sharing recyclable materials from the beds and furniture we recycle.

Materials are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are shared by cash donation only.

Free Wood Pallets! The size is approximately 40 x 48 inches.

Pick-up is from Canadian Mattress Recycling in Delta (on Annacis Island) at the north end of the Alex Fraser bridge. Go to the ramp at loading door # 16 - 715 Eaton Way.

We have a wide range of comfy cushions available (recycled from furniture)! These durable, washable cushions are perfect for floor seating and reading corners and come in many different sizes, colours, and prints to choose from! If you are a teacher adding floor cushions to your classroom space, please consider our offer of help. We have helped furnish hundreds of local classrooms for free over the years with these.

Note that all cushion covers have been inspected, sorted, and laundered on-site and all are in excellent condition. We can provide the polyfill for you to stuff the covers as well.

To pick up your classroom cushions materials, please email [email protected] to book an appointment or directly message our page.

Pick-ups are only possible on weekdays during business hours and there is a limit of 4 cushions free per teacher. Donations are appreciated if you need more than 4 cushions from us, to help cover the laundry and labour cost

Our recycled upholstery fabric is available by donation! This material is a great option for a variety of projects and comes in many different colours and prints. To pick-up, come to door 16 at 150 – 715 Eaton Way on Annacis Island in Delta, BC. All donations will be going to the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation fund.

Canada Plastics Pact (CPP), led by Natural Step Canada, has welcomed six new partners to tackle plastic waste this month. The new partners include the Government of Yukon, Recycle BC, and Multi-Material Stewardship Western (MMSW). CPP, launched in January 2021, was established to achieve pre-determined plastic recycling targets by 2025, involving plastic recycling, composting, or elimination.

In honour of Plastic Free July, let’s do our part to recycle and contribute to the circular economy!

We have plastic foam sheets available to the public! The sheets are perfect for creating shade during these hot summer months by covering any sized window, cars, plants, and more!

Materials are shared by cash donations which are given to charities year-round. Currently, we are raising money for the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation!

Pick up is from Canadian Mattress Recycling in Delta (on Annacis Island) at loading door # 16 - 715 Eaton Way. Warehouse hours for loading plastic foam sheets are 9 am - 4 pm, 7 days a week. Please do not arrive earlier or later than that time frame. Closed on stat holidays.

HAPPY SHARK AWARENESS DAY!

Sharks are incredible animals who are essential for maintaining a healthy oceanic ecosystem. Unfortunately, in the last few decades, many species are close to extinction due to illegal hunting practices and pollution.

In recent years, CMRI has been proud to support organizations who protect our oceanic wildlife. Organizations such as the Ocean Legacy Foundation and the Ocean Conservancy are two of many organizations who have dedicated their resources and time to protecting our ocean’s animals and reefs.

Hello Recyclers,

Please be advised that our Materials by Donation Service will be temporarily suspended due to short staffing starting on July 4th, 2021.

If you are in need of recycled fabric or furniture legs, please visit us at office 150 before that date on either June 20th or 27th, between 10am to 4pm. Pickup located at the office, unit 150, 715 Eaton Way.
