Scotia Harvest is seeking a People & Culture Advisor to serve as the on-site HR presence at our Seabrook facility. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with employees and leaders, building relationships, solving problems, and helping create a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced operational environment.

As a key member of the People & Culture team, you'll provide hands-on support to employees and managers, coach leaders through people-related challenges, support recruitment and onboarding activities, and help ensure HR processes are carried out consistently and effectively. You'll work closely with operations leaders while partnering with the broader People & Culture team across the Mersey Group.

Another Digby Scallop Days is in the books, and Scotia Harvest is proud to have once again taken part in the parade and also helped support this longstanding community tradition.

For generations, it has celebrated the people, families, businesses, and communities that have been built around one of Nova Scotia's most iconic fisheries. It is an opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of harvesters and all those whose livelihoods are connected to our scallop industry.

Scotia Harvest Inc. Acquires Innovative Fishery Products Inc.

Expanding Its Seafood Portfolio with an Innovative Clam Business

Scotia Harvest Inc. today announced the acquisition of Innovative Fishery Products Inc. (IFP), a well‑established Nova Scotia clam harvester, processor, and exporter. This acquisition marks an important opportunity for Scotia Harvest to diversify its seafood portfolio, with IFP’s clam business complementing Scotia Harvest’s existing operations.

“Innovative Fishery Products has built an impressive business, and we see an opportunity to grow this business alongside our existing operations,” said Alain d’Entremont, President of Scotia Harvest Inc. “We are committed to investing in the business and continuing with the employees and harvesters that have made it what it is today.”

Scotia Harvest extends its appreciation to the founders of Innovative Fishery Products for their decades of dedication. The company also recognizes the late Doug Bertram, a former shareholder who passed away in 2022. His vision and approach were important in shaping IFP, and Scotia Harvest is proud to carry forward IFP's legacy.

IFP will continue to operate as normal. All employees will be retained, and Marc Blinn will remain with the company to provide leadership and continuity. Scotia Harvest looks forward to working closely with the IFP team, with new investments already planned to support future growth.
