With 41 years in the A/V industry, Jeff has seen everything from the early days of custom integration to today’s ever-evolving smart technology landscape. Getting his start in 1985 at a small family-run business, Jeff is one of the lucky ones who found his passion early, and has thrived ever since. Finding motivation after four decades isn’t hard when your passion lies in the opportunity to exceed customer expectations and tackle new challenges every day.

When Jeff isn’t helping his dealers, you’ll likely find him any of the local rinks playing the role of coffee-fueled hockey dad, mountain biking, snowboarding, or, planning his next international adventure, which includes a quest to visit every Disney (3 down, 2 to go!).

Samsung's Art Store is a criminally underrated feature that doesn't get enough exposure. Let's change that.

When a TV isn't being used for content, why not make it part of the overall vibe and design of the room? Rather than having a blank black screen hanging from the wall, wouldn't having access to an entire curated library of fine art and photography be a tremendous value-add for design-focused customers?

Originally exclusive to The Frame, Samsung's Art Store brings thousands of pieces of digital artwork to many of Samsung's QLED and Neo QLED displays.

When you’re pitching a project to your customers, you don’t sell them on specs. The magic is in the promise of the finished system's performance - and that magic requires being able to confidently demystify vexing concepts and technologies that sometimes come with the territory in . It also requires a degree of trust that you're providing what is needed - no more, no less.

You’ve met the client who stares blankly at the specs, points at the “Impedance” line, and wonders what that even means, how it relates to their project, and if they really need that step-up amplifier? Explaining impedance to a customer can be one of those sleep-inducing subjects, even if you do it right. At worst, if you cannot simplify foreign concepts, it can make matters worse. But these kinds of conversations don't have to be the precursor to naptime that still doesn’t address the concern.

The CNET article below is a great primer to help reframe and demystify the spooky, mysterious ohm. The layman terms help you connect with your customers and earn their trust. After all, you know you've done the math and associated legwork for them. You are not selling them pricier gear for the sake if it. You’re selling them the gear required to fulfill the vision in their mind and keep it at peak performance for years to come.

When your clients understand that you, the integrator, have the answers to their concerns, their interests at heart, and the solutions to fulfill their envisioned project, the justification for a more premium solution becomes an easy conversation, not an uphill battle.
