I have not slept in three days. I answered emails from the hospital. I have not taken a vacation in two years.

When your EA asks for a raise and you say we will talk that is not a commitment. That is a stall tactic. And they know it. Either say yes, say no, or give them a real timeline. We will talk is the answer people give when they hope you forget.
