Did you know the meaning behind our name? 👀
NIJU = 20 in Japanese — 20 years since our founder arrived in Canada with nothing but a dream and 5 bottles a month.
Look how far that dream has come. 🇯🇵✨

Who are you spending today with? 🍂

Thanksgiving is about connection,
with the people you love,
and with yourself, too.

A warm little pause,
shared or quiet,
connected through matcha. 🍵

Happy Thanksgiving from Hokusan Tea Canada

A quick peek at the 2026 North American Tea Conference 🍵

This year brought together tea professionals from all over the world: India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, China, Argentina, the US, Kenya, and many more 🌏

From sessions and tastings to conversations with people who share the same love for tea, it was such an inspiring experience.

The Gold Medal Tea Competition had over 120 tea entries, and we were so happy to have Hokusan recognized as Best Japanese Green Tea of 2026 💚

Thank you to everyone who made this year's conference so special. We can't wait for the next one!

Grateful for the opportunity to speak as a panelist at RBC’s Asian Professional Network Small Business Month Celebration. 💙

It was especially meaningful because I don’t often get the chance to talk about my entrepreneurial journey through an Asian cultural lens — and how growing up in Japan, building a business in Canada, and navigating two very different business cultures have shaped the way I lead today.

I shared some of the challenges I’ve experienced around communication, cultural expectations, leadership and resilience — and learning when to stay humble, but also when to speak up and advocate for yourself.

A big thank you to the entire RBC Asian Professional Network team for creating space for these conversations and giving me the opportunity to share my story.

And thank you to my fellow panelists, Anand Bhalla () Steven Liao (.ca), for sharing your journeys and perspectives as well. 🙏

There’s nothing better than a little miso caramel with your roasted matcha 🍵

A little salty, a little sweet, completely addictive.

EXCITING NEWS🏆✨✨

Five years. Five awards.
We're honored to share that Hokusan Tea Canada has received The Best Japanese Green Tea Award from The North American Tea Conference 2026 — for the fifth consecutive year.
When we started this journey, we simply wanted to bring authentic Japanese tea to Canada.
This award is a reflection of everyone behind each cup — the tea farmers in Japan who care for every leaf, our partners who serve it with pride, and all of you who keep choosing it.
Here's to the next chapter. Thank you for being part of our story. 🙏✨
