When asked, most people will say, “Oh, that used to be the old Consortium.” It’s easy to miss if you’re driving by, hiding in the shade of some trees, and it doesn’t look like much. nd Printing. This unassuming little building is owned by Ed Lehn, known to some as the owner of the New and Used Superstore, to others as a landlord. In 2013, he bought a number of printers, gadgets, and doodads at an auction, and with these machines, decided to break into the printing industry by opening a shop early in 2014. Thus, Big Country Graphics and Printing was born. The shop has grown a lot in the following years. Not in size, obviously — the building is just as small, weird, and green as ever. But the capabilities of the machines and the staff have grown and evolved with each new project. They’ve toughed it out through a difficult economy to see their shop take flight. Each new staff member brings an invaluable skill set and an eagerness to learn, and together, they’ve grown Big Country Graphics from its humble beginnings to the only place you’ll ever need to go for printing in the Drumheller area. Don’t let the exterior fool you. From business cards and NCR copy forms, to screen printed or embroidered apparel, to custom signage, the experts at Big Country Graphics can do it all.
