Those interested in working abroad, note that you MUST offer skills and education. A high school diploma with no vocational training is usually not competitive internationally. Add value to yourself by at least learning a high in demand trade, developing skills, and gaining some work experience in order to be considered for employment both in your own country and abroad. ‼️Important Update‼️
🍁Canada's Bill C-12: Refugee Law Changes
Canada has passed Bill C-12, introducing sweeping changes to its refugee system aimed at clearing a backlog of nearly 300,000 pending cases.
Key Changes:
-Asylum claims filed between June 3 and October 31, 2025 will be retroactively cancelled
- Anyone arriving after June 24, 2020 must file a refugee claim within one year of arrival or lose eligibility
- Claims will be decided on paper only. No in-person hearings
- Irregular border crossers from the U.S. are no longer eligible for asylum
- The government gains broad authority to cancel or suspend immigration documents in the public interest
Bottom Line:
While the government says the changes are necessary to manage an overwhelmed system, critics argue the law significantly undermines refugee rights. Legal challenges are expected.
Immigration rules and polices change FAST. Apply when you are eligible. Do not delay!
