It’s pretty hard to put a life into a page, but in order for you to see the real person that I am, I will try to give you the essence of my life story. I was born in the early ’70’s in Romania, which until the end of my teen years was a communist country. I was lucky enough to belong to a medium class family, living within our means, away somehow from the deep poverty and depres
sion that was ruling the country. Don’t get me wrong, we were still poor because in communism “all people are created equal”… and yes, we were equally impoverished. I remember we were not allowed to possess a passport or any foreign currency ( US Dollars specifically). Traveling abroad was a privilege for only a few; as a child and a teenager, I always looked towards the “forbidden fruit”. I’m not the adventurous type so, illegal immigration (very popular otherwise at the time) was not an option for me. After the communist curtain fell down and after finishing my education, I applied like anyone else was allowed, for Permanent Residency in Canada. Five years went and I had almost lost hope when I finally got it. Everything else in the past twenty years of my life is just history. I went from being single, virtually homeless in a new country and with only two suitcases of clothes as my belongings to where I am now. Two years ago we decided to add our little shorkie MAX into the mix and he totally changed the family dynamics. We all live in Edmonton, Alberta in a beautiful home and also have a cottage at the lake where we spend all of our weekends and holidays. Every year we choose to “break the winter” for a week or two and go down to Mexico for a little fun under the sun. You know, it wasn’t always like this. Years back, we realized we were spending almost the whole time just sitting on the sofa and watching Netflix. It was really depressing and we decided to do something about it. First we bought a cheap old camper and a cheap old boat and started to go outdoors - a lot. That’s when our passion for being outside and constantly on the move began. For work, I am a two times business owner. I have a courier company: between employees, maintenance of the vehicles and parcel deliveries I have no more time for myself and my family; not to mention the hardship Alberta is facing for quite a while now has a negative impact on my business as well. THIS IS WHY I WAS LOOKING FOR A SOLUTION !!!!. It’s a no brainer - with today’s computer revolution the future is in the digital world. I’m a very skeptical person so it took me a lot of time and effort to realize which business was worth pursuing. I was not afraid of hard work which I’ve been doing my whole life, but it had to be something matching my personality, my passions and interest in order to keep me engaged. Last but not least I was looking for the right return on my investment (workload and upfront costs). Today I can proudly say I am an online entrepreneur and I’m also willing to help like minded people succeed in this business. All you need is the courage to dream and act upon it.
