**โš ๏ธ SERVICE NOTICE โ€” Internet Outage in Fort Chipewyan โš ๏ธ**

We are currently experiencing an internet outage affecting Fort Chipewyan.

The relay site at Birch Mountain is offline.

Bell/Axia technicians are scheduled to be onsite at **12:00 PM on Sunday, August 09* to assess and repair the equipment.

Service will be restored as soon as the repairs are complete. We do not have an exact restoration time at this point, but we will post an update once we hear from the technicians.

We know how disruptive this is and we appreciate your patience while we work with Bell/Axia to get everyone back online.

The Tech is at the tower working on the repairs now. No ETA. Unfortunately the tower was badly vandalized and it will take some time to get it online.

**Enoch Notice:**

The Enoch main tower was struck by lightning Saturday evening, and this is affecting all of Enoch. Our technicians will be onsite at **8:00 AM** to replace the damaged equipment and begin restoration efforts.

Service has been restored across the network and connections should now be coming back online.

Some customers may need to reboot their router or wireless equipment if their connection does not come back automatically.

Network Outage Update

**Update:** All services have been moved to the backup system, and service should now be flowing.

THe upsteam providers are continuing work to fully restore normal operations and move affected customers off the backup system as restoration is completed.

At this time, **full service is expected to be restored by 8:00pm today**.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

We are still experiencing a widespread outage due to extensive construction-related damage affecting our upstream fibre provider.

The damaged fibre is located in downtown Edmonton, but it is part of the main connection that feeds internet service into our area. Multiple providers and utilities are impacted.

The latest provider update says splicing has been completed at the rear of the building and in the basement, while crews continue working on the final fibre splice location at the front of the site.

Once splicing begins at this final location, services are expected to begin gradually recovering. A revised estimated restoration time has still not been provided.

We have enabled as many backup links as possible to restore service to as much of the network as we can. Any restored connections may run at reduced capacity until the primary fibre connection is fully repaired.

**Update:**
Arrow has finished moving all effected services to the backup system, and services should now be flowing.

Once full service has been restored, we will work to move all affected customers off the backup services.

At this time, full restoration is still expected by **2:00 AM on July 9**.

**Arrow Technology Group โ€“ Affected Areas Update**

Fibre contractors have identified that one side of the cable is missing tubes. As a result, the team must install a new **Fibre Optic Splice Closure (FOSC)** along with a new **144-count cable** running from the manhole to the basement.

Repair efforts are also being impacted by the need to share workspace with other affected carriers (Telus and Rogers) which is slowing progress

Network Outage Update

**Arrow Technology Group** is continuing to experience a widespread outage due to significant construction-related damage affecting our upstream fibre provider Bell-Axia

The damaged fibre is located in downtown Edmonton, but it is part of a main connection supplying internet service to our area. This incident is impacting multiple providers and utilities.

The Bell has advised that multiple fibre crews are on site and are actively working on a restoration plan. Based on the latest information, the damage is extensive and repairs may require new fibre to be pulled between splice points, along with temporary restoration work.

There is still **no confirmed estimated time for restoration**.
