An author I've been working with just got up the first rung in the ladder at UofA Press. There are more rungs to go before publication is promised, but I'm pleased that we got this far.

While the Prairie Provinces Branch of the Editors' Association of Canada languishes, twigs throughout the former branch are finding life. Some editors in the Edmonton area like to gather occasionally to share experiences, both professional and personal--a lively link for freelancers.

Home from giving a tutorial on maximizing MS Word to two editors. Good fun! And they assure me they know more now than earlier this morning. One said "a thousand times more". It's a service I offer.
