This group was born when two ambitious entrepreneurs went looking for networking and professional development opportunities, but couldn’t find a group that fit their needs. While there are many great organizations in Edmonton that cater to larger, more established companies, emerging businesses and sole proprietorships had less options. To fill this gap, Tammy Deren and Spencer Bennett created the
West Edmonton Business Network Team. Every second Tuesday, this small but growing group meets in the west end of Edmonton to share their knowledge, network and socialize. There are no fees or memberships; the only request is that each participant brings a snack to share. The benefits of our group include:
- Meeting and socializing with other entrepreneurs.
- Learning from each other. Educational segments to date have included website creation and management, how to blog, cold calling strategies, successful selling, , and more.
-Networking: together, we seek to understand our member’s businesses and what kind of clients they are looking for. We support and encourage each company’s growth and are actively engaged in sending each other business and referrals. Our diverse group is actively seeking to expand and is inviting interested, small business, entrepreneurs to get in touch.
