Hey all! I'm still here, still alive and kickin'. What a year!
This time last year, I was not in a good place. Life was falling apart, and I was on the verge of having to make some very difficult decisions. A couple months later, I followed through and had to hit the big red reset button in order to salvage the tatters that was my mental health at the time. Transitioning from one home and employer to another at the same time was one of the most exhausting things I've ever undertaken, especially with the huge learning curves that came from the new job and being on my own again.
However, I refused to let this experience sink me further. I used it as an opportunity to grow! I spent most of my summer reaching out and reconnecting with my friends and family. I have been focusing on enjoying time at home. Having my kitty (Badger) back has been awesome. I've been getting back into the kitchen, exploring new music, making plans and being more social when I go out. I started being silly at work, opening up and being myself again!
I'm a big believer that time heals all wounds, to a degree. Being patient through the process and not rushing out to find things to bring me temporary happiness has done wonders in terms of how I feel day to day.
Keep your collective chins up, folks. The whole world might be a chaotic mess, but if you work towards your goals, you'll get there. You just have to be patient 😊
Here's to 2025 continuing to help us all learn and grow, as individuals and as a society. We are all stuck on this rock together. Might as well be kind to each other
The incense holder in the photo was the first one I made, a few years ago. It has held many boxes of incense over the years, and still looks perfect, even when I'm lazy and haven't cleaned it out
