If you have been an employee, subcontractor, supplier, worked for our clients, from an aboriginal band we’ve partnered with, from a hockey team or chuck wagon we’ve sponsored, or anyone who has supported Welland get to where we are today, and you need a little help.

Good morning everyone, bit of a sobering morning after hearing what we all likely already knew deep down regarding the COVID outbreak and the Alberta economy from our leader Jason Kenney. I am happy to have such a great leader and our government doing what they could to help people out but I spoke with Jason Belland the other owner of Welland and we both agreed that private business needs to do it's part as well in all of this because we believe we live in the greatest country in the world. We have been privately supporting through other incentives or charities but we wanted to do something that would reach our past employee's, our past clients, our past suppliers, our past subcontractors the individuals, as those are the people who have been the back bone of Welland Energy Services and we are sick to think anyone can't keep there head above water in this tough time. Usually we hate public displays of giving as we believe you give cause you can, not for recognition but we didn't know how else to reach anyone.

Anyway enough rambling and the point is if you have been an employee, subcontractor, supplier, worked for our clients, from an aboriginal band that we have partnered with, or we sponsored your hockey team or chuck wagon, anyone who has supported us to get where the company is today and you need a little help send us a private message to our facebook saying simply what you would use the money for and your connection to WES. We pick 1 peson and send you a cheque privately for $500.00 dollars and will do it every week until this isolation ends, but seeing that it is Easter and we know lots of people are hurting out there we are going to do 2 cheques for $500.00, so $1,000.00 this week. If you don't get contacted this week just send another message next week and we will continue to select someone, this is not a hand out or give away this is a reinvestment in the industry we love. Yesterday was a special day.

The students and teachers of Spruce Avenue School had been working hard at finding and fixing up bikes for their students only to have them stolen!
Thanks to Krista Walker's post we were able to step up and provide new bikes for this very deserving crew.

It feels good to give back to our community!

Staff at a school in central Edmonton were shocked and saddened Monday morning after discovering more than a dozen bikes donated for their less fortunate students had been stolen.
