🍂 Feeling grateful for the beauty this land gives us — the stunning autumn colours, the generations who came before us, and the traditions that bring us together.

May we make room for learning, honour Indigenous voices and histories, and care for the land we call home.

And then there’s the snow… ❄️ Because apparently autumn wanted one last colour palette, and winter decided to join the conversation! 🤍

Cheryl Meiklejohn, our Queen Bee, owned Rainbow Draperies for 27 years, shaping the business we’re proud to carry forward today.

This cushion was designed by Cheryl and features a discontinued Kate Spade Collection tape. A reminder that great design — and the people behind it — leave a lasting impression.

This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for the traditions we inherit and the creativity we carry forward.

The fabric is where the manufacturing conversation begins.

Material selection isn’t just about colour and pattern—it directly impacts how a piece will be cut, sewn, lined, pleated, weighted, finished and ultimately perform in the space.

A beautiful fabric can require very different construction than another fabric with a similar look. Weight, width, pattern scale, drape, stability and even the way it responds to pressing all matter.

This is why material selection and manufacturing go hand in hand. At Rainbow, we’re looking at the finished product from the very beginning—because the right fabric choices help us build something that not only looks beautiful, but is made to work.

Good design considers the fabric. Great manufacturing does too.

We love seeing our work come to life in a finished space. These custom sheers are featured in the Daytona Homes open showhome—and they’re a beautiful example of what the right window treatment can do.

The softness of the sheers brings balance to the dramatic black trim and exposed beams, adding warmth, movement and just enough texture without competing with the architecture.
