I hear some version of this before almost every session 😂 followed closely by “you’re going to have to tell us what to do.”
And YES. I will.
I’m never going to bring you somewhere pretty, stand 20 feet away and expect you to magically know what to do with your hands.
I’ll give you direction. I’ll tell you where to stand, what to do, where to look but I also want to leave room for you two to actually be you.
We’ll walk around. Run like idiots. Dance terribly. Laugh. Take a second when something feels good. And probably make fun of ourselves somewhere in between.
Because your session shouldn’t feel like an hour-long photoshoot where you’re wondering “okay… what do I do now?”
It should feel like hanging out with your person while I third-wheel with a camera.
