MYTH: The first offer is usually the best offer.
The first offer can be a great offer, but being first doesn't necessarily make it the strongest.
When evaluating an offer, there is much more to consider than the purchase price. Financing, deal conditions, timelines, and the buyer's ability to successfully close can all play an important role.
A higher offer may look better on paper, but a strong offer with realistic terms and a qualified buyer may provide a much smoother path to closing.
The bottom line? Don't just look at the number. Look at the whole deal.
Would you choose the highest offer or the strongest overall deal?
