Happy 2023, everyone!

We decided to run our (now annual) 'give donations, not calendars' holiday draw again this year. Thanks go out to our wonderful client municipalities for nominating charities and community organizations doing incredible work in rural and small town Alberta.

We're happy to announce this years winners selected by a random draw:

Tofield and Area Health Foundation and the Viking Health Foundation (Nominated by Beaver County

The Bon Accord Gibbons Food Bank (Nominated by Bon Accord, Alberta, Canada

Wetaskiwin Search and Rescue (Nominated by the Summer Village of Itaska Beach)

Thank you to the many volunteers that help operate these charities and organizations!

Happy New Year, everyone!

In lieu of distributing calendars to our client municipalities and industry colleagues, our team made the decision to redistribute the costs of this annual gift to charities in rural and small town Alberta.

We asked our client municipalities to nominate local charities and in their communities; we are pleased to announce that through an official draw (conducted by a 6 year old), we have selected the Westlock Food Bank (nominated by Westlock County), the Friends of Bruderheim School Society (nominated by the Town of Bruderheim), and the Redwater Foodbank (nominated by Town of Redwater). We will be in touch with the charities in the coming days to arrange the donations. Thank you to everyone who suggested such worthy and important community organizations.

Central to having a healthy food environment and good land use planning are our community grocery stores.

Our local grocery stores are going above and beyond to keep us all stocked with the food and supplies we need to self-isolate. We'd like to salute the hard working employees who are finding new and innovative ways to serve their communities' needs.

As Spring begins to take hold in Alberta, consider a walk through the Sturgeon River Valley in the Town of Gibbons - home to some of the most diverse plant species in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region including the Prickly Pear Cactus, typically only found in the badlands of Southern Alberta.

If you squint your eyes just right, it will feel like a warm getaway!

Hello friends,

To proactively protect our staff, families, and clients from the spread of COVID-19 we are limiting visitors to our office for the immediate future.

We appreciate your understanding as we all work together to protect the health of our communities.

Right now, many of us are in isolation. We may be physically separated, but we are still connected to our much larger communities.

Over the next little while, we'd like shine a light on some of our client municipalities by sharing some of our favourite photos, facts, and research. Hopefully this brightens your day, makes you smile, and remind you that we all help build incredible and resilient places.
