Meet Osmo's latest Behind the Finish Feature, Courtney Starr of . ⁠

Trading in his keyboard for a hand plane, Courtney left the tech industry in 2024 to do woodworking full-time. His past includes starting a longboard company in high school and 15 years designing digital products for Fortune 500 clients before going full-time. Currently, you can catch him crafting bespoke interior woodwork and furniture and sharing his process on his Youtube channel.⁠

Courtney chooses his finishes for ease of application, durability, and the final feel of the wood. Osmo LED Smart Oil is his favourite product, and its instant cure matters because he has no dedicated finishing room. The instant-cure aspect of the product allowed him to refinish a local bar before doors opened, with customers sitting down for drinks minutes later.
