Put a few hours into doing some more on this jacket I've been working on. Still have some more line work to do before I continue painting on it tho. Slowly but surely.

The theme I'm doing for this piece is a nod to the artist Olivier Ledoit, after falling in love with his art form during reads of the graphic novel Requiem Chevalier Vampire, and loving so many of his other works over the years; I've been looking forward to doing a piece like this for a long time.

I've posted the back of the jacket on an earlier post. Once I'm done this panel I'll move on to the other sides and then the arms.. So much fun. Anyone wearing this in my opinion would be fkn cool. That my daughter will be the one makes it all the more special. Decided to incorporate wika into it as well.

I put a few more hours into this jacket piece I've been working on. I could call the back done at any point, but I'm really enjoying the process, it's nice to be back painting something which I'm drawn to do more. It's a feeling I've been without as of late. I may still put hours and hours into it adding shades and highlights to other colors going over some layers I've already done. I see nothing wrong with sinking more time into this.

Slowly working on this nod to Pat Mills and Olivier Ledroit's Requiem Chevalier Vampire series on a women's jacket. I just love his work so much. Always looking forward to seeing what I can pull of in the end.

'it's a party, party'
A few years back over the New Years Holiday I wanted to paint so I took inspiration from and a photograph that Inspired me from her feed.

I chose the cosplay she did with of Lavendel and Minz. I would have painted Jessica too but so many people already paint her, and honestly if I do one of her I already have a different one in mind.
Here you can see the steps I took in painting it. The painting was all done in Acrylic Paints. On a 11x14 inch stretched Canvas.

Throw back to some of my abstract phase. Trying to experiment with feeling in my paintings, finding the extension of myself through my brush. Find that unshaped self, that after years of building structure is buried deep within. Making sure that I challenge myself with every piece I make, so that each painting makes me more better for the next.

This particular painting I used .paradox
as a muse and luckily enough he was willing to lend me his time. Hard to find a willing model/muse at the drop of a inspiration hat.
Love ya for looking.

I've been enjoying making new videos for my paintings. Or in this case having fun messing with the audio. So here is a HALLOWEEN THROWBACK to a few years back. From a Post of a painting of Cosplayer awesomeness Phonyghost and her cosplay of Nosferatu. Big fan of all of her work and I really enjoyed the challenge of painting this. It was a good use of energy that week. Adding to the fact that Phonyghost chose this image to be painted herself made it all the more special

Acrylic on stretched Canvas. 11x14inch. 'Nosferatu' by Phonyghost painted as painted by JERR

I wanted to share some of what hangs on my walls, and scattered amongst my rental space.

Over Christmas 2017 I wanted to paint so I took inspiration from sheridans_art and her photograph "Cyriaca" - "Moth Girls" Series
Model - fox.and.lionheart

I can't belive it's been a few years since I painted this. The painting was all done in Acrylic Paints. On a 16x20 stretched Canvas it was one of the first paintings I did just by eye. Not my best work, but it has a special place in my heart. Because it's when I started to believe more in myself.

Decided to play with my paintings a little today.

This is one of two paintings I did of 'Yuno Gasai' as cosplayed by Visha Loo aka Janice Adshade. On 16x20 Canvas done in Acrylic Paints with Stencils.

The other awesome painting lives with Janice Adshade herself. One of my favorite painting projects among many.

Throw back to two years ago when I finished this piece. 'Through the Looking Glass'
Acyclic on Canvas 20x30
So I figured I would share with everyone where I am at on my new painting, this is the third of five that I will be doing. I'm not quite done any of them, as I like to add as the days go by, But I am really, really enjoying coming up with different color combinations.
I really want to thank the following people
Photographer Nina Pak Art Nina Pak
Designer April Peters April Peters
Model Lavanya Hiremath
Wigs Dani Barnes Dani Barnes
Model Karlee Deacon Marie Johnson
for both the wonderful concept, as well as the inspiration to challenge myself with more difficult paintings. I absolutely adored the Extravagant Passions spread.
I look forward to attempting to do more of what I have been calling Painting Couture. As well I look forward to reading your comments, if you can afford any, as I take great pride in my hobby, and like to take into account others opinions on what they feel when they view art.
I'd also like to thank The Paint Spot for the great service at their shop, where I pick up all of my art supplies.
Thanks

If the tree is straight, the world and the fruit It bares is crooked. If the ground is level, the tree is ready to fall the fruit falling further. If the fruit the tree bares is level, the tree and the ground is in chaos. I am the tree, the ground my world. The fruit on the tree everytime I wanted to give up. Sometimes they are small pains. Sometimes they are long scars. But all together it is beautiful. Apart. They are broken.

Most of my art hangs in my own walls, or occasionally, on the clothing I wear. This particular painting I walk by several dozen times a day. I'm always filled with warmth in its familiarity.

Model - fox.and.lionheart
