We’re proud to share the newest addition to our shop: our very own 16 kW ground-mounted solar array.

Normally, we would install solar on the roof, but in this case, the roof trusses had reached their load capacity. So we brought the power to the ground, turning a challenge into an opportunity. This new system also serves as a demonstration array, giving visitors a chance to see our work up close and understand how solar performs in real conditions.

Built with 36 × 450 W panels, this system will make our shop and office net zero each year, generating 100% of our annual electricity needs. With the help of tax incentives and in-house installation, we expect a payback period of around three years.

At Inferno, we believe in the technology we build. This project reflects our commitment to clean energy and the confidence we have in solar’s value for every business.

☀️ Stop by anytime to see the array in action and learn how solar can work for you.

We are pleased with the ex*****on and installation of a 190kW array with 342 solar panels at Adam's Lifestyle Storage and want to give them a warm congratulations on taking their first step towards energy independence! The array will generate up to 100% of the building's usage and be powered by a green energy solution.

We would also like to thank Cameron Development & Eagle Builders for putting your faith in us to deliver an excellent product, on time, and on budget.

In construction, it’s common to see projects start at one price and end at another. Low bids often lead to “change orders,” which add unexpected costs and frustration for clients.

At Inferno, we take a different approach. Less than 3% of our total revenue has ever come from change orders because we believe transparency builds trust. When we say the price is the price, we mean it.

We work hard to define scope early, anticipate challenges, and deliver on what we promise. It’s a mindset rooted in accountability and in putting ourselves in the customer’s shoes every step of the way.

As we head deeper into fall, solar production naturally starts to dip — and that means it’s a good time to review your energy plan.

If you’re part of an energy program that offers seasonal export rates, switching to the lower winter rate can help you get the most value from your solar system during the colder months.

Programs like the Solar Club and others offered by Alberta retailers make it easy to adjust your rate and stay optimized year-round.

Small seasonal adjustments like this can make a big difference in your overall return on solar.

Alberta’s power grid is on the verge of a massive shift.

AESO reports that the surge in proposed data centres could add tens of thousands of megawatts of new demand — enough that the province may need to double its generation capacity just to keep up.

For businesses, that could mean:
• Greater strain on the grid
• Higher delivery prices as new transmission is built
• Rising electricity prices across the province

This makes on-site solar generation more valuable than ever. Beyond sustainability, it offers resilience and long-term cost control. By producing your own power, your business is less exposed to volatile energy markets and future price spikes.

Inferno Solar provides commercial solar systems built for reliability, savings, and peace of mind.

Citylink Logistics Centre Building 2 is designed for the future of business in Alberta.

On Calgary’s doorstep, this master-planned facility combines scale, efficiency, and sustainability — with solar power at the core. By generating an estimated 150,000 kWh of clean electricity every year, Citylink is not only cutting its carbon footprint but also taking a proactive step toward long-term energy stability.

It also carries the distinction of being the largest Zero Carbon Design Certified warehouse in Western Canada — a benchmark for what sustainable logistics can achieve.

Smart infrastructure and Alberta sunshine are working hand-in-hand to keep goods moving and operations sustainable. It’s a model of how modern logistics can deliver both performance and responsibility.

Inferno Solar is proud to help power that vision. ⚡

💡 Did you know? Alberta’s electricity prices are closely tied to natural gas.

With LNG exports now ramping up from B.C., natural gas prices are forecasted to rise — and that means higher power bills here at home. As Deloitte notes, Alberta’s benchmark natural gas price could more than double by next year.

For businesses, this shift makes solar energy an even smarter investment. By generating your own power, you can reduce exposure to volatile energy markets, lock in long-term savings, and leave the planet in better shape for the next generation.

☀️ At Inferno Solar, we help companies across Alberta and Western Canada take control of their energy costs with reliable, commercial-grade solar systems.

The new kid on the block just got a fancy solar array! 🆕

We’re thrilled to share the completion of a truly standout project: the solar installation at The Parks, located at 10135 108 ST NW in downtown Edmonton.

This technically demanding rooftop array was engineered for performance and built to last, with all energy generated being used directly on-site—helping reduce emissions and boost long-term efficiency.

What it took:
⚡26 kWDC solar system
⚡243 structural anchors
⚡972 fasteners
⚡Carefully engineered structural reinforcements to handle extreme wind uplift—on a rooftop 39 stories in the air

Bonus: The solar installation helped qualify the developer for CMHC MLI Select financing, recognizing the energy and carbon reduction benefits of the system.

A huge thank you to the skilled and professional team who made it happen:
➡️ Developer: Maclab Development Group
➡️ General Contractor: Ledcor
➡️ Architect: DIALOG
➡️ Electrical Engineer: SMP Engineering
➡️ Structural Engineer: RJC Engineers
➡️ Electrical Contractor: Muth Electrical – thanks for bringing us on board!
➡️ Roofer: United Roofing Inc.

This was a big one—and we couldn’t be prouder of the collaboration that brought it to life.

Okotoks Shines Brighter with Two New Solar Arrays! ☀️

We’re excited to announce the successful installation of two additional solar arrays right here in Okotoks! Both systems have been fully operational since January 2025, and we are proud to share that Inferno completed the project from contract award to energized in just 17 weeks—a demonstration of excellent project ex*****on.

These two projects deliver a combined capacity of 243 kW DC, pushing the Town of Okotoks another step closer to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

A huge thank you to all partners involved—(Town of Okotoks, RJC Engineering, and of course SMP Engineering)—for your hard work, coordination, and commitment to bringing this project to life. Together, we're helping Okotoks lead the way in renewable energy.
