The Trans Equality Society of Alberta (TESA) knows how powerful it is when our community comes together in support of equity, inclusion, and social justice.
Now more than ever, our community must stand united.
TESA exists because collective action matters—especially in moments like this. We are facing a political climate where the current government is choosing to target trans people, working to strip away rights from Trans Albertans instead of addressing the real issues affecting the vast majority of people in this province. These attacks are deliberate, harmful, and meant to divide us.
We refuse to be divided!
TESA welcomes Albertans who are trans members, allies, and supporters who believe deeply in equity, inclusion, and social justice. Our strength has always come from standing together, organizing together, and showing up for one another. Renewing your membership is not just a formality—it is an act of solidarity and a commitment to ensuring our community is prepared, organized, and resilient in the face of growing challenges.
By renewing your one-year membership, you help ensure that TESA remains a strong, representative voice—ready to advocate, respond, and support Trans Albertans when it matters most. Members are entitled to vote on issues that arise at meetings, participate in leadership through board positions at our Annual General Meeting, and stay connected through our internal communications as we move this work forward.
A few important details to note:
· Memberships are currently available to Alberta residents who are at least 14 years of age;
· New members’ voting rights are approved at the next board meeting as part of our standard process;
· 2026 memberships are valid through December 31, 2026; and
· Memberships purchased after December 1, 2025 remain active through December 31, 2026
This is a moment that calls for unity, courage, and action. We need our community engaged, informed, and ready to defend the rights and dignity of trans people across Alberta.
