Lion George Hacock will celebrate his 50th year as a Lion.

George joined Ingersoll Lions Club in 1976, serving as two-year director, 2nd vice, 1st vice and was president 1981-82.

Transferred to Woodstock 1984 where he was a Program Chair, Director for several years.

Bulletin Chair, Club Membership Chair 2001-2009 ( club doubled in size).

He originated " The Club Membership Program" in 2004 and by 2008 all clubs in District A-15 had written plans.

Lion of the year 1986-87.

Life member of Lions Foundation of Canada 1988

Nominated for Melvin Jones Fellowship 2009.

Transferred to Apsley Lions 2009 and was President in 2015-2016.

Transferred to Chemung Lake District Lions 2016.

At District and International Level District Communications Chair 1988-89

Speaker at leadership school on membership 2006

Trained as Guiding Lion 2006

Coordinator with Sight First 2006-2009.

Has taken courses for Bachelor’s program at Lions University.

He transferred from Chemung Lake Lions Club to St Jacobs Lions Club in 2023 where he took on the role of updating the P&Ps.
