Summer Help Wanted at Huron Research Station!

The Huron Research Station is looking for university or college student candidates to join our team as summer research assistants from April/early May until Labour Day. Our research assistants are an integral part of our program and will be responsible for assisting with field plot preparation and establishment, microbiological lab work, plot maintenance, data collection, data entry, plot harvest. Other responsibilities will include lawn care and station maintenance. Candidates must be able to work outdoors, work well in a team environment and hold a valid Ontario G license. The Huron Research Station/University of Guelph provides valuable information to agricultural producers and those in the agricultural service industry through our dry bean/soybean production, field crop agronomy and w**d management research programs. The Huron Research Station is looking for university or college student candidates to join our team as summer research assistants from April until late August. Our research assistants are an integral part of our program and will be responsible for or assisting with field plot preparation and establishment, microbiological lab work, plot maintenance, data collection, data entry, plot harvest. Other responsibilities will include lawn care and station maintenance.
Candidates must be able to work outdoors, work well in a team environment and hold a valid Ontario G license. Experience in microbiological culture techniques and operating farm machinery would be an asset but is not critical.

The Huron Research Station/University of Guelph is looking for university or college students to join our team as summer research assistants from April until late August. Research assistants aid in field plot establishment, maintenance, data collection, harvest, data entry and lab work. Responsibilities include lawn care and property maintenance. Summer assistants work in a team environment mostly outdoors. Experience operating farm machinery is an asset but is not critical. It was a great morning to be in the field controlling some w**ds. Conditions this spring have caused an increase in herbicide injury in soybeans and dry beans but these soybeans are trucking right along.
