Spring is in full bloom and so is this craft wine cocktail using RJS Cru Select France Style Merlot! Perfect for a weekend brunch or dinner party.🍷🍓🍊🍑 Call The Lokal Winery 705-887-1864 to get started.

INGREDIENTS (per serving)
1 bottle France Style Merlot
½ cup elderflower liqueur
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 peach or nectarine, sliced
½ orange, thinly sliced
1–2 cups sparkling water or lemon soda
GLASS GARNISH
Edible flowers
DIRECTIONS
1. In a pitcher, combine Merlot, elderflower liqueur, strawberries, peach, and orange slices.
2. Add lavender and chill for 1–2 hours to infuse.
3. Top with sparkling water before serving.
4. Garnish with edible flowers and fresh strawberries.

Stop Choking Your Wine! 🍷

Ever wonder why we swirl? It’s all about Oxygen.

How it works for red wines:
Aerating helps to break down harsh tannins (that mouth-drying feeling) and  gently releases those sharp, initial aromas so the true, delicate notes of the vineyard can finally shine through."The result? A smooth, velvety finish and a bouquet that actually smells like fruit! 🍒✨

What about Whites? 🥂
Usually, no. Most whites are meant to be fresh and zesty. However, if you have a full-bodied, oaked Chardonnay or a "funky" orange wine, a quick splash of air can help integrate those heavy oak flavors and open up the floral notes.

3 Ways to Let It Breathe:

The Swirl: The "lazy" (but effective) way. Just give your glass a good spin! 🌀  But not too hard, we don't want to spill a smidge of  wine.  😆 

The Decanter: The classic. Pour the whole bottle in and let it sit for 30-60 mins. 🏺

The Aerator: This is Lorrie's favourite.  The "I want it now" tool. It infuses air as you pour for instant results. ⚡
