The NorthStar Quilt Guild creates & donates quilts for Charities, Service Organizations, and Individuals in our local communities, as well as across Canada!!

In 2026 The Guild's focus has been our local families who lost homes in the 2025 wildfire, the Children’s Christmas Program, and their local Quilts of Valor.

The NorthStar Quilt Guild has been performing these quiet acts of service for decades - so please come support them this Friday & Saturday, Oct 2rd & 3rd at their Open House!!

While showing your support during this year's Culture Days Manitoba, you can learn more about the work of our local Guild; and see these works of art, love, and service on display!

The Vendor - The Empty Bobbin, Fabric/Quilting Supplies, will also be onsite for both Open Houses! NOTE: For the Friday Oct 2nd Open House - The Vendor will be staying onsite, past Gallery Hours, until 8:00PM!

Friday, Oct 2nd: 2:00PM - 4:00PM
Saturday, Oct 3rd: 9:00AM - 2:00PM

📣You don't need political experience to serve your community.📣

You need to listen well, work with others, solve problems, and care about where you live. That's it.
If you've ever run a business, sat on a board, coached a team, or organized an event - you already have the skills.

Nominations open soon for the October 28, 2026 municipal elections. Council decisions shape everything from taxes and permits to infrastructure and services. The people who understand how business works belong at that table.

Curious what running actually involves?

Flinty's got questions. 🤔👀

Who decides your property tax rate? Who approves that new development down the street? Who invests in the roads, sidewalks, and spaces your customers walk through every day?

Municipal government does. And on October 28, 2026, Manitobans decide who's making those calls.

Your business is on the ballot.

Follow along this month as we dig into why it matters- and how you can get involved.
