🌿✨ It’s World Migratory Bird Day! ✨🌿
As the leaves turn gold and the air grows crisp, millions of birds begin their incredible journey south—and your backyard can be a lifesaving pit stop! Here’s how to prepare for these feathered travelers this fall:
🍂 1. Feeders should be clean and well stocked! Birds will need to stop and eat! Make sure your feeders are full of nuts. 

💧 2. Offer Fresh Water
A clean birdbath or shallow dish is a must-have for migrating birds to drink and bathe. Keep it fresh and place it in a safe, visible spot.
🏡 3. Reduce Window Collisions
Up to 1 billion birds die yearly from window strikes. Use decals, screens, or external shutters to make glass visible and save lives.
🌱 4. Turn off exterior lights at night! 
This helps to prevent disorienting migratory birds at nighttime. Let’s make this migration season safer and brighter for our winged friends. 🐦💚

We loved seeing all of the unique costumes from Spider-Man, Minecraft, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and more—you brought so much joy! Congrats to the costume contest winner; we hope you love your free t-shirt!

September has just flown by! 🍂 September Highlights: A Lifelong Love for Wildlife Conservation and Community Talks. Anne’s lifelong dedication to wildlife conservation was celebrated this month, from unravelling the overwintering secrets of snakes to pioneering an innovative technique to boost survival rates of neonatal snakes. Her work is making a real impact and helping to reverse the decline of the Massasauga Rattlesnake, a threatened species in Ontario. Her work is restoring balance to ecosystems.
