The funds raised from the items totaled was $10,354.

The account has $10,520.11 in it to date (Adriana took it upon herself to raise more money during the one year anniversary for Amanda's death and added it to the account).

Until 2 days ago an RESP was discussed and agreed up between all parties during the custody battle so the fundraiser would not interfere with it.

Day before yesterday we were notified that the agreement we had made with during the time baby was in care wasn't agreed upon anymore with the awarded caregiver, and that the family was now experiencing financial struggles due to upgrading their home and vehicle for babies sake and because he needed supports, so they had asked for it instead of it going to an RESP.

This was two days ago.

There has been arrangements to meet with the caregiver and figure out how to reallocate the funds.

I hope this helps clear things up a bit.

I just want to make this known as there is a post going around about the funds raised for Amanda's family and her child.

Since there was a custody battle going on and we had the funds place into an account until we could get the funds to the public guardian and trustee to put into a trust for baby so it didnt interfere with the custody battle. This money is still in the account as we were told custody was going to be finalized soon. So we decided to skip the public guardian and trustee and deal with the caregiver when custody was awarded.

When searching for donations for the auction we informed the donators that a portion of the funds raised would be for babies future via a trust fund. The caregivers had inquired about other options such as an resp. We had been informed just these last few months that custody was finalized. There has been failed attempts to meet with the caregiver to relocate the funds to the family due to a busy life between the organizers.

I just want to give this update as there has been no attempt to with hold funds from the family and they will be relocated to the family as soon as possible.

A receipt will also be obtained and posted to the page to prove the funds have not been touched.

We want to give a huge shout out to all the businesses and the people who donated and made this all possible! We could not have done this without you all! Some people say it takes a village when it comes to bringing up children and I can say you all did not disappoint when it came down to looking out for this little one. We all cried tears of joy knowing this community worked together to look out for one of its own, and even harder when we seen the outcome for all of our hard work which includes all of your support and hard work as well! You all should be SOOOOOOO proud of yourselves and proud of our community for this! Good job everyone for your support and a special thank you to everyone who donated to the cause:
