Jessica is a proud member of the Okanagan Indian Band and a lifelong resident of Fort St. John. With nearly 12 years of beading experience—and celebrating 7 years of Bankhead Beads—her work is deeply rooted in tradition, passion, and purpose. For Jessica, beading isn't just a business or a craft; it is medicine, a way of life, and a legacy.
As a mother to 3 daughters who are powwow dancers, when she isn't creating beautiful beaded jewelry, she’s busy sewing regalia for them. Everything she creates, learns, and builds is done with the goal of passing these skills and cultural traditions down to her girls.

Of Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc ancestry, Beverly has called Fort St. John home for nearly 20 years. A proud mother of four, she is deeply connected to our community, where she works as a mental health clinician supporting children, individuals, and families.
For Beverly, beading is far more than a creative outlet—it is a meaningful form of self-care and a way to nurture her connection to her Indigenous heritage. Blending traditional inspiration with contemporary designs, her handcrafted beaded earrings reflect her unique artistic expression and the importance of staying rooted.
From intricate celestial and wildlife motifs to striking cabochon focal pieces, each pair tells a story of craftsmanship and heart.

​Shirley lives at Fort Nelson First Nation, BC, with her husband Archie. Her roots and heritage run deep—her mother was Secwépemc (Shuswap), born and raised at Canim Lake First Nation, BC, and her father was born in Budapest, Hungary.
​Shirley began her sewing journey at a very young age, turning her passion into creating beautiful regalia when her two daughters started dancing. That rich heritage, craftsmanship, and love shine through in every stitch of her creations—from detailed ribbon skirts and embellished denim jackets!
