In November 1981, Ray and Donna Northrup opened the doors to their dream — Winner’s Way in Fort Saskatchewan.
What they started 45 years ago grew into something much bigger than a sporting goods store. It became a place where generations of families came to get their first pair of skates, their first glove, their team gear, and everything in between.

In 2001, Guy and Kelly Goudreau took over the store and continued that legacy for the next 25 years. Through countless hockey seasons, baseball games, soccer matches, lacrosse tournaments and sporting milestones, Guy and Kelly poured their hearts into Winner’s Way and the community they served.
After an incredible 25 years of ownership, Guy and Kelly are now welcoming a new chapter for Winner’s Way.
Guy and Kelly would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Fort Saskatchewan community and surrounding areas for their many years of loyalty, support and friendship.
Thank you to every customer who walked through the doors, supported a local business, trusted Winner’s Way with your family’s sporting needs, and continued to shop local year after year.
Thank you for 25 amazing years. We are truly grateful. ❤️

And now, it’s time for a new chapter.
We are incredibly honoured and excited to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Winner’s Way Source for Sports — Alyssa & Joe Van Hecke.

Taking over a business with 45 years of history and such deep roots in the Fort Saskatchewan community is something we don’t take lightly. We know we have some big shoes to fill, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be carrying forward the legacy that Ray and Donna started and that Guy and Kelly spent 25 years continuing to build.

Our promise is simple: to continue making Winner’s Way a place where athletes, families, teams and our community feel welcome, supported and proud to shop local.
We’re excited for what’s ahead, and we can’t wait to get to know even more of the incredible people who make this community so special.
